The new Sony BDP-S1 HD DVD Player features Full HD 1080/60p, 
24p Video Output by means of HDMI connection. This device measures 16.9inches in width, 14 inches in depth and 4.1inches in height.
This HD DVD player supports BD-ROM and DVDs and also supports digital audio and video standards such as MP3, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. 24 bit/ 192kHz audio D/A Converter is used along with the built in audio decoders such as Dolby Digital, DTS decoder, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD. It outputs Dolby Digital and DTS digital surround sound.
Connections that are provided in the device are 1 x S-Video output ( 4 pin mini-DIN ), 1 component video output ( RCA phono x 3 ), 1 HDMI ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ), 1 composite video output ( RCA phono ), 1 digital audio output (coaxial) ( RCA phono ), 1 digital audio output (optical) ( TOS Link ), 1 x 5.1 channel audio line-out and 1 audio line-out ( RCA phono x 2 ).
Additional features of this HD DVD player are Parental lock, progressive scanning and JPEG photo playback. It plays screen savers on the TV screen when only songs are played. Media can be accessed using the infrared remote control provided along with the device. Sony BDP-S1 Full HD DVD Player operates by an internal power supply device.
